This guide only applies to customers who are governed by the Online End User License Agreement. You can learn more about who is covered by the Online End User License Agreement. If you purchased a database or web service credit with a custom contract or other offline agreement with MaxMind, the terms and conditions of your use may not be governed by our Online End User License Agreement. In that case, you should consult your contract or agreement for the specific terms and conditions of your agreement with MaxMind to determine how you’re permitted to use GeoIP or minFraud data.

Whether you can sell data under the Online End User License Agreement depends on the product or service you are using. This article gives some guidance about how data from the GeoIP Databases can be used under the Online End User License Agreement. You can also learn about how you can use data from GeoIP Web Services and minFraud Services under the Online End User License Agreement.

The Online End User License Agreement only allows you to use GeoIP Databases for what we call “Internal Restricted Business Purposes.” Learn more about Internal Restricted Business Purposes.

If you need to use data from a GeoIP Database for anything other than an Internal Restricted Business Purpose, you will need a commercial license. Learn more about commercial licenses for GeoIP Databases.
