Possible causes for not receiving transactional MaxMind emails

Transactional emails are emails related to your MaxMind account such as welcome/account creation emails, password reset emails, any emails pertaining to billing, and email ticket replies from our Support team.

If you believe you are not receiving transactional MaxMind emails—for example, if you requested a password reset and did not receive one in the expected timeframe—here are some possible causes and recommended steps to take:

Only admins and users with certain email permissions are set to receive transactional emails. Learn more about user permissions. Connect with your administrator if you believe you’re not receiving emails that you expect to receive.

Verify that you have correctly configured your email client

If you have recently created or modified your email address, ensure that you have set it up to allow incoming emails. To verify, we recommend sending yourself a test email from another email address such as a personal free email account.

If you don’t appear to be receiving any emails, it’s possible that your email client has not been correctly configured. You will need to work with your IT team to resolve or research the specific configuration requirements for your email client if you are doing it yourself.

Ensure MaxMind emails are being delivered to your inbox

Check your spam/junk folder for emails from @maxmind.com. Mark any emails from MaxMind as ‘not spam’ and move them into your inbox. This will inform your email client that future MaxMind emails should not be delivered to the spam/junk folder.

We also recommend that you add our email domain (@maxmind.com) to your safe sender list. Each email client (Google, Microsoft, etc.) has specific instructions on how to add an email domain to your safe sender list.

If you have checked your spam/junk folder and have not found any emails from MaxMind, we recommend allowlisting MaxMind sending IP addresses.

Allowlist MaxMind sending IP addresses

Add your sending IP addresses to your network-level allowlist to ensure that all communications from MaxMind get delivered by your company's server.
