The device tracking add-on helps catch fraudsters who change proxies while they are browsing your website or between visits to your website. Device tracking is easily implemented at no extra cost with JavaScript that helps us identify the device your customer is using to determine whether it has been used in previous fraudulent transactions. Get technical details about how to implement device tracking in our developer documentation.
The device information is factored into the risk score and IP risk score returned through the minFraud service. The minFraud Insights and Factors services also return risk data and risk scores related to the device when you use the device tracking add-on. Learn more about device risk data.
For optimal performance, please add the device tracking JavaScript to as many checkout pages as you can. Our developer documentation has recommendations about where to implement device tracking on your site.
