CCPA – Do Not Sell – Opt-out
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California residents with the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information by a business to third parties, subject to certain exceptions as permitted by law. To exercise your right where MaxMind operates as a business, please fill out and submit the form below. We will process CCPA requests beginning on January 1, 2020, and will respond to you accordingly. For more information about our privacy practices, click here.
If at a later date you decide to submit a Request to Opt-In after Opting Out of the Sale, please contact MaxMind directly at firstname.lastname@example.org with your request.
- Opt-Out Options: The primary option is a Privacy Global Opt-Out of all applicable databases. The second option is a Reduced Privacy Opt-Out of all applicable databases except our Country database and City database, where we would only retain the country level data associated with your IP address. We offer this second tiered option because many services on the Internet depend on your location. For example, certain content is only available in certain regions and if the service you depend on is using your location to provide you content, you could potentially stop receiving content because the service cannot determine your location.
