If we cannot process your automated renewal payment, we’ll send you a notification email requesting that you please log in and update your payment method on file as soon as possible. Learn how to update your payment method, or go directly to the payment method in your account portal [direct link, login required]. This features is restricted to admin users or standard users with billing permissions. Learn more about user permissions.
Once you update your payment method, we will automatically retry billing your account.
For a web service credit Auto-Recharge, our system will retry the renewal payment within 5-10 minutes of updating your payment method.
For a GeoIP2 database subscription, our system will retry the renewal payment within 15 minutes of updating your payment method.
Transaction limits by country
Our payment processor limits transaction amounts for cards issued from certain countries. The following is the list of countries and their respective limits. In some cases, the limit is tied to the currency of the country of origin, and in other cases the limit is tied to US dollars.

If you are trying to make a purchase that exceeds the above values, reduce the value of your order and try again. If you cannot reduce the value of your order, please reach out to our support team for assistance.
Unrecognized credit card transaction
If you have an active database subscription or service credit auto-recharge enabled, and you have not completed any purchases within the past year, our system must perform a $1.00 authorization transaction to keep your payment method on file active.
The $1.00 transaction is simply an authorization, rather than an actual charge, so no payment is made as part of this process. The authorization will automatically be reversed within 1-2 weeks.
