Enable MaxMind single sign-on (SSO) on Okta

In order to enable single sign-on (SSO) for your MaxMind account, you will need to create a new Okta application for MaxMind. 

1. Sign in to the Okta app as an Admin and click the 'Add App' button.

2. Click the 'Create New App' button.

3. Select 'OIDC - OpenID Connect', then click 'Next'.

5. Change the app integration name to 'MaxMind'. Then change the sign-in redirect URIs to the following: https://www.maxmind.com/en/account/sign-in/oidc-sso.

6. Under 'Assignments', select an appropriate value based on your use case and security protocols. In our example, we have selected to allow everyone in the organization to access. This option means that each individual will need to have a MaxMind account that they will use SSO to sign in.

7. Ensure the checkbox for 'Enable immediate access' is checked.

8. Click 'Save".

9. Next, copy the Client ID and Secret.

10. Navigate to the MaxMind SSO setup page [direct link, login required]. Paste in the Client ID and Client Secret.

11. The provider URL should be set to your Okta URL.

12. Click 'Save changes'.

13. Click 'Activate' to activate your SSO configuration.
