Effectively, we cover all publicly available IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in use.
Please note that some IP addresses are simply not locatable, so not every IP will return data in our products. This typically applies to inactive public IPs, reserved and private IPs, and anycast IPs.
For example, the IP address 127.0.0.1 is used by each computer to refer to itself, so it cannot be located.
We are retiring our GeoIP Legacy downloadable database formats at the end of May 2022. Please see our blog post for more information, including how to migrate to GeoIP2. We will continue to support the GeoIP Legacy web services, although there will be data changes.
