How can I redirect my website traffic to location-specific pages? How will this influence search engine rankings?

GeoIP2 Downloadable Database Users

If you are using one of the GeoIP2 databases and the Apache web server, you can redirect traffic based on the visitor’s country, region, or city by using our mod_maxminddb API.

More generally, database users can redirect dynamic pages by using one of our database APIs. You can write code as part of your site that determines the location of the client’s IP address, then have your code redirect the client to another URL based on the GeoIP2 database data.

GeoIP2 Precision Web Service Users

If you are a web service user, please see this brief tutorial on our blog about how to query the GeoIP2 Precision City Web Service using PHP. You can also find detailed documentation about our web service APIs on our Developer’s site.
